I have always liked Agatha. Not only is she an exceptionally talented singer, she is also hysterically funny and down to earth.
Singing from her home in Brazil, her intimacy and easy manner will make you feel like you’re sitting in her living room, singing your favorite songs together, sharing some laughs, and forgetting all your cares .
She is also damn hawt !!
I caught up with Agatha after one of her regular sets at Blues Cove....
Michael: Hi Agatha - thank you soo much for taking time out to do this interview with Toggle For Music - its a privilege and a pleasure for us to have you involved in our project. I have to say Aqua and Taila are massive fans of yours!
Agatha: These ladies Rock Michael! Thx for the opportunity !
Michael: You are most welcome! First up - Could you tell our readers something about your background - I know you come to us from the wonderful country of Brasil - how on earth did you get involved in the crazy world of Second Life?
Agatha: Well I was quite bored and my brother Always played online games and used to laugh so loud i could hear from the kitchen, so i thought i should find something fun to do in my spare time. I tried World of Warcraft and hated it. So I typed on google “ online games” and voilá, there was Second Life. In my first week I found live music, in 1 month i was managing a club, in few months i was hosting singers and after 5 years I was the one singing. I enjoy SL pretty much
Michael: So World of Warcraft's loss is our gain! You are a such a talented singer .do you remember what made you start to play and who were your early influences - and who are they now? Have they changed as you have got older?
Agatha: There are professional musicians in my Family that make a living with music, so since i was young music is part of my life. But my parents , who arent musicians, always loved to have loud music at home and thats where my love for music comes from.
My early and biggest influence is for sure Karen Carpenter, I remember when my mom bought our first CD and I was so mesmerized that I started listening, writing what I was understanding, then grabbing the cd chart and correcting my misspelling, translating using a dictionary ( no google at that time há há) and then singing with her. I know that whole álbum and she is my english teacher, this is how i learned the language.
From 5ish Years till now I fell in love with Stevie Nicks, this doesnt mean I abandoned my early influence but Stevie became huge part of it.
Michael: OMG - I wish I had been there! Was there anyone here who helped you, or inspired you, during those early days?
Agatha: I started singing because my dearest friend Maxx Sabretooth once heard me singing while i was making some coffee and left the voice opened. He told me i should sing, started teaching me some and we even sang on the app Smule. If I am singing It’s because of Maxx.
Michael: Ohh wow - soo many of our readers have wonderful memories of Maxx. Following on from that is there a gig you remember above all ?
Agatha: I am always trilled When I sing at Bday parties, weddings, anniversaries. The Energy for this gigs hit me so good that I truly have a blast. Not that I dont have a blast in other gigs but when you are partying for something special you can feel that happy energy and that is something that amazes me everytime.
Michael: Do you have a favourite song / genre ? - any special reason for the chosen song ?
Agatha: I like a bit of everything and my fav songs change ...ALWAYS
I love the 80’s , i freaking love latin songs
Silver Springs , Mariposa Traicioneira, Back on the chain gang, TNT , Volare !
Some bring me memories, some give me happiness, some are my songs to drive and so it goes.
Michael: Cool - Is there a performer(s) in Second Life you particularly admire ?
Agatha: Marqs DeSade, he is not only a fantastic musician with an incredible songlist, he is my Mustard Love ! I had the honor of meeting Marqs in RL at SL jams and he is so much fun and has a beautiful soul.
To me singing is about sharing Energy, feelings etc, Marqs does it, he is not only a singer, he is a performer.

Michael: I know lots of our team at TFM will agree woth you about Marqs! I'm often told it can be hard trying to find your place in the SL music scene with so many performers on the grid - something you have clearly done. Do you have any advice to new performers on how to break through and stand out?.
Agatha: There is no need to make any effort for anything in life as long as you do with pleasure and doing your best things will come back your way. And Live music scene is the same, people will follow When they feel good with a singers presence and music.
Michael: What would you say pleases you the most about performing in SL - and conversely what would you say irks you the most ? (aside from annoying interviewers)
Agatha: The crowd !!! lately i have been online just for singing because I have a baby of 6 months, since when he was born i am not able to stay around . So life is kinda crazy and the only time i have for myself When no one asking me to do things or cleaning or cooking or dealing with RL is when I am singing and Oh boy isnt it an amazing time I have ? These people have been making my days and nites for almost 6 years and i am so blessed and grateful for them . They make me laugh so hard, they do crazy stuff like joining me on stage and doing all the crazy things I suggest. We do have a blast. OMG and Campesito !!! I freaking love my Campesito when he let the elephant out or rock the stage <3
What Irks me is lies and rude people but this is not something that belongs to my SL
I really have no problems at all. Again.... I’m truly blessed.
Michael: If you could tell your noob Agatha anything, what would it be?
Agatha: is lingerie in your maitreya folder , wear those panties !
I have this mesh body for ages and Only found out this lingerie yesterday LOL
Michael: Haha! Finally, in closing, is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Agatha: I’d like to say what I often tell people at my shows :
“ I am so proud of this Community that dont hesitate supporting venues and all the RFL that goes on in Second life. Makes me so happy to see all the Money raised for Feed a Smile, Home for our troops , Cancer Society and Other charity programs we see around.
What we give come back to us and i wish you all beautiful and joyful days ahead”
