Mark Taylor @ The Night Owl

And as so often, I am drawn to the first stage that fascinated me in SL, to a stage where so many of my favorite musicians have stood in SL and touched me with their talent. Sweetpea and her team at The Night Owl are a true constant on the music scene and one of the most wonderful promoters of new talent.
Not exactly new with his 15 years of experience, but a great talent stood in front of me on stage that evening, a compatriot and friend, the musician Mark Taylor.
Mark sings and accompanies himself on his acoustic guitar as always. When Mark is on stage, it gives me goosebumps. He is one of those singers who, with their warm, slightly rough voice and the indescribable feeling they put into their songs, can create emotions of a special kind. Nothing is faked, fluffed up or glossed over here. but genuine, straightforward and very important: felt! Music to absorb and enjoy, just the way I love it, from a musician who loves what he does with heart and soul 100% and is therefore so damn authentic and close to the audience.
His songs are well chosen, they fit his recognizable voice and his personality as I see it. Since Mark is not a friend of many words, he was able to sing us all the more titles, as this list shows:
Black Velvet - Alannah Myles
The Only Thing That‘s Look Good On Me - Bryan Adams
Right here waiting -. Richard Marx
Iris - Gogo Dolls
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Juke Box Hero – Foreigner
Auf das was da noch kommt - Giesinger/Lotte
She's the one - Robbie Williams
Demi Lovato – Warrior
Rocket Man - Elton John
Chasing cars - Snow Patrol
Whereever you will go - The Call
Wonderful tonight - Eric Clapton
Dust in the wind – Kansas
Bryan Adams - Run To You
I couldn't have wished for better songs that evening, everything fitted and harmonized perfectly. As always, Mark managed to touch his audience and leave us all feeling good and excited for the next concert.
If you don't know Mark yet, you should do so as soon as possible!
