VOODOO SHILTON @ PHOENIX~CALAS GALADHON PARKS

Voodoo Shilton performed at the gorgeously built (designed by Ty Tenk) Phoenix, one of the live music venues within Calas Galadhon Parks. Ty Tenk & Truck Meredith are the generous and talented creators and co-owners of Calas Galadhon Parks, a 13 SIM Estate renowned for its beautifully designed and appointed builds. The whole of Calas Galadhon Parks is free and available to all SecondLife residents with its wide variety of activities and events throughout the year.

Voodoo Shilton is famous for playing a nylon string guitar throughout his live performances. He also masterfully plays the other instruments (except for the percussion) including the African Udu (a clay pot instrument) which he compiles into richly multi-layered instrumental backtracks for every song he performs regardless of the composer. Voodoo's shows may consist of his original songs entirely or he may include other composers' music as well.

From the moment that Voodoo began his first song, Mas Que Nada his splendidly orchestrated music and his natural heartfelt melodious vocals enveloped me and swept me up that I was flying high in a magical musical machine of Voodoo's creation! Voodoo kept me aloft while he performed Dos Gardenias and Tico Tico and indeed throughout his performance. He then performed Kwalelo which he is half the composer of the version we heard. Voodoo seamlessly performed one song after another: Entre Dos Aquas, My Old Friend ~ Voodoo Shilton, Rain ~ Voodoo Shilton, and Elephant Strut ~ Voodoo Shilton.

During his performance, he continually exposes his extremely talented and gifted musical soul with every richly toned note. The depth and width of this composer, singer, and songwriter's character and personality are displayed by his natural and passionate delivery of all notes that he performs. Voodoo presents each note within every musical layer nestled and intertwined within his unique composition all while he is performing! Voodoo Shilton has the rare ability to have spontaneity injected into his performance while the audience feels as though this is exactly the way any particular song was intended to be heard. It was apparent that each song he performs is his compassionate expression and an extension reflecting who he is during that moment. His music is his truth.
